Description:
This training will explore the emerging role of artificial intelligence (AI) in clinical practice, focusing on how counselors can leverage AI tools to improve client outcomes, streamline documentation, and enhance decision-making. Participants will gain insight into ethical considerations, best practices, and practical applications of AI in counseling.
Objectives:
Identify current AI technologies applicable to counseling practice.
Discuss ethical implications of using AI in clinical settings, including client confidentiality and informed consent.
Explore practical examples of integrating AI into assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
Evaluate the potential benefits and challenges of AI in enhancing client outcomes.

Parsons Counseling Training Institute has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7101. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Parsons Counseling Training Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
Cancellations with 14 or more days' notice will receive a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations with less than 14 days' notice will not be refunded. A 50% credit towards a future trainings may be applied at discretion of the training coordinator. Bundled or discounted registrations are non-refundable.

Dr. Jeffrey Parsons is a licensed professional clinical counselor supervisor (LPCC-S) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a wealth of experience in the field of counseling. He holds a bachelor's degree in Family Sciences from Brigham Young University, an M.S. in Community Counseling from Portland State University, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Iowa.
Dr. Parsons has been employed at Lindsey Wilson College for the past nineteen years, where he has worked extensively with students from the Appalachian mountains of eastern Kentucky. He has also served in several other roles at the college, including Director of Program Evaluation and Technology for the School of Professional Counseling, Director of Teaching and Technology Effectiveness for the Office of Academic Affairs, and Director of the Counselor Education & Supervision program.
