Empowering Caregivers

Course Description

This training program is designed to equip mental health professionals with the knowledge and skills to effectively support parents in building stronger, more nurturing relationships with their children. Participants will learn eight proven parenting techniques and gain a deep understanding of how to incorporate Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) principles into their work with families. The program emphasizes the importance of involving parents in their child's therapy sessions, teaching them to use CCPT language, deliver healing messages, and set limits through choice-giving. Attendees will also explore ways to foster connection and create shared positive memories between parents and children through engaging activities such as games, movement, songs, and touch. Additionally, participants will learn how to conduct family sessions that incorporate parenting education, increase attachment, promote shared fun, and engage family members in therapeutic interventions. By the end of the training, participants will have a toolbox of strategies to empower parents and promote healthy, resilient parent-child relationships.
