This advanced clinical training transforms the therapeutic landscape by equipping mental health professionals with specialized skills to empower parents as primary agents of healing in their children's lives.
Prerequisites: Participants must have completed Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) training with any qualified trainer before enrollment.
Through this program, clinicians will learn the strategic adaptation of Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) from its traditional 10-session group format into a streamlined 4-session individual model without sacrificing therapeutic depth or effectiveness.
Clinicians will develop expertise in:
Guiding parents beyond supportive roles into active therapeutic partnership
Training parents in authentic CCPT communication techniques that foster emotional connection
Teaching the delivery of the four healing messages (I see you, I hear you, I understand you, I care about you) during pivotal parent-child interactions
Building parental confidence in therapeutic limit-setting through effective choice-giving strategies
Coaching parents to independently conduct structured play sessions that extend healing into the home environment
This training represents a paradigm shift in child-focused interventions, creating sustainable therapeutic outcomes by positioning parents as the primary catalysts for change rather than maintaining dependency on clinical services.
