Course Description
Objectives
● Develop Practical Mandala Skills for Self-Exploration: Attendees will demonstrate their ability to create and process a personal mandala that effectively aids in self-exploration, healing, or self-awareness.
● Create Mandalas Proficiently: Attendees will acquire the practical skill of creating a mandala that effectively communicates their thoughts and emotions, as demonstrated by completing their own mandala during the presentation.
● Interpret Symbolism in Mandalas: Participants will exhibit their understanding of symbolism in mandalas by accurately interpreting the meaning of symbols, animals, and colors in a given mandala.
Jungian play therapy and art therapy offer a unique approach to self-discovery and healing by accessing the unconscious mind through the use of creative techniques.
The use of mandalas, art interventions, and other activities in play therapy will be discussed as a way to facilitate self-discovery and healing.
Jungian therapy is based on the premise of an integration of the conscious and unconscious, which Jung termed, individuation.
