Objectives
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
1. Explain the core principles of the Oaklander Model and its role in facilitating emotional expression, navigating polarities, and promoting emotional regulation through art and play therapy with children.
2.Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing therapeutic tools, including puppets, clay, miniatures, and art materials, to facilitate effective play therapy sessions that allow children to explore their inner worlds and experience emotional healing.
3. Identify and apply ethical considerations in play therapy, including maintaining professional boundaries, securing informed consent, and upholding confidentiality in their practice.
4. Integrate the Oaklander Model into their counseling or therapy practices, facilitating deeper connections with children and enhancing their emotional well-being through the transformative power of art, play, and healing.
Cancellations with 14 or more days' notice will receive a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations with less than 14 days' notice will not be refunded. A 50% credit towards a future trainings may be applied at discretion of the training coordinator. Bundled or discounted registrations are non-refundable.
