Program Registration Requirements

This course is designed for counselors and counselors-in-training who are interested in introductory information about pornography addiction.


Program Description and Learning Objectives

This training provides counselors with a comprehensive overview of pornography addiction, including demographics and risk factors, societal costs, assessment tools for screening and diagnosis, as well as treatment options. Participants will gain enhanced knowledge to compassionately recognize pornography addiction, conduct assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans aimed at recovery.

Jeffrey Parsons

Professional Counselor

Dr. Jeffrey Parsons is a licensed professional clinical counselor supervisor (LPCC-S) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a wealth of experience in the field of counseling. He holds a bachelor's degree in Family Sciences from Brigham Young University, an M.S. in Community Counseling from Portland State University, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Iowa. Dr. Parsons has been employed at Lindsey Wilson College for the past nineteen years, where he has worked extensively with students from the Appalachian mountains of eastern Kentucky. He has also served in several other roles at the college, including Director of Program Evaluation and Technology for the School of Professional Counseling, Director of Teaching and Technology Effectiveness for the Office of Academic Affairs, and Director of the Counselor Education & Supervision program.
